“A HAPPENING”
an Eggtooth Production
“A Happening“, is a multi-leveled immersive experience housed at the Shea Theater. The space is enlivened by visual + sound scapes that expand audience perception of what live theater can be.
Those who are welcomed encounter a surface world of bright characters, craft vendors, and live art. Just below stirs dark secrets and mysteries kept hidden in corners and shadows. Inspired equally by 1960's art events 1920's spiritualism, tarot and the occult “A Happening” is an exploration guided by the complexly vivid music of SVIP.
The evening showcases changeable and interactive art including a featured installation by Michaelangelo Wescott of Gypsy Apple Bistro; a retrospective on 15+ years as an independent Chef. Live painting from Rosa Beryl, Hannah Rosenbaum, Justin Monet, and Brianna King complete the visual tapestry and will be available for purchase in addition to selections of pre-existing work.
Conceived by Sam Perry (Old Flame, SVIP), “A Happening” is Perry’s directorial debut, shifting from identifying solely as a musician to encompass a broader definition of compositional creation.
Join us for an evening of revelry through auditory and visual delights.
