After two years away from the studio playing festivals and shows around the world, The Dustbowl Revival returns with new music that is more emotional, experimental and bolder than ever. The LA octet is ready to bring this new sound to a wider audience with the release of “Busted” + “Only One” - available now as a limited edition 7-inch and via all digital retailers via Signature Sounds.
Produced by Grammy award-winner and Flogging Molly co-founder Ted Hutt (Old Crow Medicine Show, Gaslight Anthem, Dropkick Murphys), the 45 signals a striking departure from their fun-loving, raucous old-time past and has the band mixing their unique eight piece instrumentation into realms of hard soul, funk and the emotional, introspective folk reminiscent of Fleetwood Mac, Paul Simon and Aretha Franklin’s harmony-drenched 70s output.
The soulful "Busted" flexes the band’s more modern instrumental evolution, using traditional folk instruments like mandolin, upright bass and fiddle and putting them through wah-peddles and gorgeous reverb while while Liz Beebe's emotive and searing vocals reveal the snake who did her wrong...and just what she plans to do about it.
“Only One” is a hushed telling of a heartbreaking love story with a delicate orchestral backing that grows into a gorgeous crescendo, with the entire band signifying just how hard and beautiful lasting love can be.
The Dustbowl Revival is currently on tour before heading back into the studio to finish the new record, due out in sping of 2017.

Exciting News for A Happening V: The Bestiary
Cloudgaze and Eggtooth Productions are thrilled to announce that we have received generous grants from the Mass Cultural Council as well as the Community Foundation of Western MA to support our 2025 Immersive Arts Festival, “A Happening V: The Bestiary.”
This festival will transform the Shea Theater into an exploration of theme, hosting installations, music, theatrical performances, and movement pieces, featuring the collective contributions of over 50 local artists. Audiences will experience otherworldly environments and narratives inspired by Aesop's Fables, George Orwell's Animal Farm, newly imagined cautionary tales, and creature myths of all origins.
Thanks to the Mass Cultural Council for their vital support this year. We'd also like to thank the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts for their support in the form of a Flexible Funding grant. We couldn't do this work without you!
