The classic! Beloved by children down through the generations. But can PaintBox do it with just a cast of three. Oh, we’ve lined up great actors: Jasmine Jiles (Grace - Grace for President), Connor Paradis (Jim Hawkins - Treasure Island) and Linda Tardif (Raggedy - Raggedy Anne) but how are they ever going to play all of the characters. Jasmine is playing Dorothy. That will keep her busy the whole show. So, Linda and Connor are planning share all of the rest including the Cowardly Lion, Tinnie, Scarecrow, the Wizard, Glenda, The Wicked Witch, Auntie Em, not to mention Toto, winged monkeys, and all those munchkins. How will we do it? The way we do everything at PaintBox with creativity, cleverness and, of course, lots of help from the audience. Be prepared: you are playing the munchkins. How will we drop a house from the sky? You’ll have to come and see. This whole wonderful adventure is adapted and directed by our Artistic Director, Tom McCabe.

Exciting News for A Happening V: The Bestiary
Cloudgaze and Eggtooth Productions are thrilled to announce that we have received generous grants from the Mass Cultural Council as well as the Community Foundation of Western MA to support our 2025 Immersive Arts Festival, “A Happening V: The Bestiary.”
This festival will transform the Shea Theater into an exploration of theme, hosting installations, music, theatrical performances, and movement pieces, featuring the collective contributions of over 50 local artists. Audiences will experience otherworldly environments and narratives inspired by Aesop's Fables, George Orwell's Animal Farm, newly imagined cautionary tales, and creature myths of all origins.
Thanks to the Mass Cultural Council for their vital support this year. We'd also like to thank the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts for their support in the form of a Flexible Funding grant. We couldn't do this work without you!
