The Young Shakespeare Players East ensemble presents: The Winter’s Tale by William Shakespeare. Youths from 8-18 perform the Bard! Free! No reservations needed. All are welcome!

413 years ago, in 1611, Shakespeare and his fellow actors performed his beautiful new play, The Winter's Tale, for the first time.

The Winter's Tale is one of the most beautiful and inspiring of all Shakespeare's plays — one of his late Romances. It has major elements of tragedy, comedy, and fairytale fantasy, song and dance — and one of the most beautiful final scenes in all of drama.

In the YSP East tradition, there are two full casts with actors ranging in age from 8 to 18, newcomers and veterans. The YSP East ensemble invites you to join us and delight in seeing and hearing them bring this timeless story to life!

Exciting News for A Happening V: The Bestiary

Cloudgaze and Eggtooth Productions are thrilled to announce that we have received generous grants from the Mass Cultural Council as well as the Community Foundation of Western MA to support our 2025 Immersive Arts Festival, “A Happening V: The Bestiary.”

This festival will transform the Shea Theater into an exploration of theme, hosting installations, music, theatrical performances, and movement pieces, featuring the collective contributions of over 50 local artists. Audiences will experience otherworldly environments and narratives inspired by Aesop's Fables, George Orwell's Animal Farm, newly imagined cautionary tales, and creature myths of all origins.
