SPARKLETOWN 3- a concert celebrating the music and spirit of Kate Lorenz on Saturday, April 11. Doors at 6:00/ Show at 7:00. Kids under 12 free!
This year marks the third annual concert to celebrate the music and spirit of beloved local musician and teacher Kate Lorenz who died in the summer of 2022. Hosted by her brother, Matt Lorenz of The Suitcase Junket and featuring a slew of special guests, the show consists of the many songs that Kate wrote and loved performed by her friends, family and musical collaborators. Backed by members of her band, The Constellations, and The Rear Defrosters, a Vermont based honky-tonk band that Kate sang with regularly, the featured guests perform tracks from Kate's catalogue, songs they wrote for her, and covers that remind them of her. Past shows have included Chris Smither, Kris Delmhorst, Caitlin Canty, Jeffrey Foucault, Zak Trojano and many others. Guest lineup will be announced very soon! This year's show also happens to be on Kate's birthday weekend and that girl sure loved a birthday party! As always, profits from the show will go to the Kate Lorenz Community Memorial Fund which gives out small grants in her name throughout the year focusing on music, education, poetry, the environment and feminism.

Exciting News for A Happening V: The Bestiary
Cloudgaze and Eggtooth Productions are thrilled to announce that we have received generous grants from the Mass Cultural Council as well as the Community Foundation of Western MA to support our 2025 Immersive Arts Festival, “A Happening V: The Bestiary.”
This festival will transform the Shea Theater into an exploration of theme, hosting installations, music, theatrical performances, and movement pieces, featuring the collective contributions of over 50 local artists. Audiences will experience otherworldly environments and narratives inspired by Aesop's Fables, George Orwell's Animal Farm, newly imagined cautionary tales, and creature myths of all origins.
Thanks to the Mass Cultural Council for their vital support this year. We'd also like to thank the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts for their support in the form of a Flexible Funding grant. We couldn't do this work without you!
