Sam Perry is a guitarist, composer and visual artist from Northampton, MA. He is the lead guitarist of the Indie rock band Old Flame. Since the groups inception in 2016 they have released 3 highly regarded albums, won Deli Magazine’s New England Artist of the Month and played several festivals including Green River Fest in 2018. In Covid isolation Sam has been exploring the sounds of ethereal post rock, traditional English folk music, hard rock and jazz. This exploration has led to his first solo effort under the moniker SVIP. The resulting record is an hour long soundbath titled The Expanse which will be released this Fall. An avid effects pedal enthusiast, be sure to check out his pedal review YouTube channel “Pedal Guys”.
